Format

• Best Ball. Team score is the total of the best ball of all 3 foursomes (one gross and two net).
• 100% handicap with maximum index of 30.4. Players with higher index will play to 30.4.

Registration

• Each club enters 3 teams: One pre-designated foursome scores best ball gross and the other two foursomes score best ball net.
• The captain shall register her team online and send team payment to the treasurer (see below)
• Captains, please note: you will not have the ability to update your entry form once submitted. Therefore, please submit the form with committed entries. Any changes to your team after your registration form is submitted should be directed to:  Barbara Quinn boros@wssgl.com  Registration opens July 1. Entries due by end of day July 11th.

Cost & Payment

$90 per player ($1080 per club)
Includes golf, cart, lunch and prizes. In case of rain, lunch will be served at 12:30pm.

Prizes

Winning team players receive Boros Pins and the winning club keeps the Boros Plaque for one year. Prizes are also awarded to foursomes for low gross and low net scores.

About

The Boros Memorial is played in memory of Anne “Buttons” Cosgrove Boros, a state champion in 1950 at age 22 and wife of professional golfer Julius Boros.  She died in 1951 shortly after giving birth to their son, Julius Boros, III. The Cosgrove Family, longtime members of Marshfield Country Club, established this tournament in her memory in 1961.
